I noticed today that there is a new version of the iPhone manual: manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhone_User_Guide.pdfTop of page 9 I noticed this: Preventing iPhone from Syncing AutomaticallyYou may want to prevent iPhone from syncing automatically if you prefer to add items to iPhone manually or when you connect iPhone to some other computer than the main computer you sync iPhone with. I'm not sure if it said this before or not. Of course the issue was that originally (and still for all I know) you were not able to manually drag songs and playlists to your iphone. You had to SYNC playlists - and could only do it from one computer. When connecting the iphone to a 2nd computer you would be prompted to erase the contents of the phone. I can't check the syncing issue until tomorrow, but this version of the manual clearly states that this option allows you to add items to iphone manually when you connect it to some other computer than the one you last sync with. This would be a major bug fix in my opinion. See my other posts about this at: iphonepov.proboards91.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=1184103015I'll check this out and post an update. I would think this fix would come in the form of a software update to iTunes and not to the iPhone.
