We love our iphones, but sometimes its kind of a pain in the ass to initiate a call... For example, when you turn on the phone and you were last looking at pictures, you have to slide the slider, then push the home button, then push the phone button... then select a contact or a recent or some kinda of phone function.
I think that's too many buttons for 1 phone call.
IDEA:
Apple should make the home button react to a long push (say 2 seconds) which would automatically launch 1 item of our choosing. There could even be a 'HOME BUTTON' setting where you could select an app (I would choose the phone app--others might want it to activate Safari) or a url or a phone number, or even another setting to launch when the home button is held down for 2 seconds.
It would be a major time saver and make the capital P in iPhone justified.
